In the past 24 hours, law enforcement agencies have arrested 1,662 individuals as part of ongoing nationwide special operations.
Assistant Inspector General of Police (Media and Public Relations) Inamul Haque Sagor confirmed the figures to BSS on Friday. Among those detained, 1,058 were arrested in connection with previous cases and outstanding warrants, while 604 were held on various criminal charges.
During the operations, one LG firearm was recovered.
Sagor added that the special drives will continue.
